The boy who had six months to learn to wear glasses
The ophthalmologist gave them six months.
The boy was three years old. His parents had spent more than a year trying to get a pair of glasses onto his face, and every attempt ended the same way: the frames on the floor, the child on the floor, and a tantrum that could go on until he had hurt himself. Without the glasses, the doctor said, the central part of his vision would not come back.
They were not fighting over a toy. They were fighting over whether their son would see.
The rest of the story puts a face on four ideas you'll meet on the RBT task list.

- 01
A true story
Real people, as the public record tells it, from a 1964 hospital ward to today's clinics. Composite characters are always labeled.
- 02
One lesson
The idea from your task list, with a face on it, so it's there when you need it: in session and on exam day.
- 03
One thing to try
Something small and concrete to look for or try with your client that week.
Who writes it
Simón Franco, who builds ABA Sensei, the bilingual RBT and BCBA exam-prep app. Every story is checked against its sources before it goes out, and every issue lists them at the end.
