RBT Exam Prep for Spanish-Speaking Behavior Technicians

A 25-question diagnostic plus adaptive mocks and a retake-recovery plan β€” built around the RBT Task List 2nd Ed., not translated from English filler.

If you didn't pass the first time, you're not alone β€” and the gap between first-time and retake pass rates is exactly what we built Retake Recovery for.

You took the 40-hour training but don't feel ready.

Most free prep reports a ~61% pass rate. The free question banks are recycled, in English only, and the explanations don't catch the trap words (FIRST, BEST, MOST APPROPRIATE) that decide half the exam.

  • Untranslated material that misses Spanish-speaker context
  • Recycled questions you'll see again on test day
  • No diagnostic so you don't know where you actually stand
  • Zero feedback when you miss a trap word

How the prep is structured

Vocabulary Dojo β€” bilingual

Every term in English and Spanish, with the false-friend pairs that trip up bilingual candidates (refuerzo negativo β‰  castigo).

Adaptive mocks

Item selection biased toward your weakest RBT domains. 75-question and full-length variants matched to BACB blueprints.

Retake Recovery plan

If you didn't pass, we restart from Task List definitions, drill traps, and pace 4–6 weeks before you rebook the exam.

Aligned to RBT Task List 2nd Ed.

Every question is mapped to a Task List item. No off-syllabus filler.

Frequently asked questions

How long do I need to prepare for the RBT exam?
Most candidates need 4–6 weeks of focused prep if they're scoring in the 60–80% range on diagnostics. Below 60% we recommend 6–8 weeks and a Retake Recovery plan.
Is the RBT exam available in Spanish?
No β€” the official RBT exam is only delivered in English. That's why bilingual prep matters: you study concepts in your native language and then bridge to the English testing format.
How is this different from BACB's free 40-hour training?
The 40-hour training is a prerequisite. It teaches the material but doesn't simulate the exam, doesn't drill trap words, and isn't bilingual. We sit between the training and the exam.
What's the pass rate for RBT retakes?
BACB 2025 data: 38% on retakes vs 75% first-time. The gap is mostly content rust and unaddressed weak domains β€” both fixable with a structured plan.
Do I need to be bilingual to use the app?
No. The diagnostic and bank are available in English-only mode. Bilingual mode adds Spanish explanations and the Vocabulary Dojo β€” useful but optional.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Monthly plans cancel monthly with no contract. We'll also notify you before any price change.
Where does the question bank come from?
Curated by Simon Franco, M.S. ABA, and mapped to RBT Task List 2nd Ed. items. Every item has a written explanation and labeled trap words.
Is this affiliated with the BACB?
No. We're an independent prep company. The BACB doesn't endorse third-party prep β€” we just align to their public Task List and exam blueprint.
What's the Vocabulary Dojo?
A spaced-repetition vocabulary drill for the 200+ behavior-analytic terms on the exam, in English and Spanish, with the false-friend pairs that confuse bilingual candidates.
How realistic are the mock exams?
Length, time limit, and domain weighting match the BACB blueprint. The questions themselves are our own β€” we don't recycle leaked items.
Why are you launching with a waitlist?
Because we'd rather validate demand from real bilingual RBT candidates first than ship to silence. Diagnostic + waitlist data tells us which tier to launch first.
What happens if I don't pass with your prep?
Take the diagnostic again, jump on Retake Recovery if you're not already, and we'll rework the plan. We're not in business if our prep doesn't move the pass rate.
